Life InSight Coaching & Consulting
Awaken the Power Within
Purpose: To provide individuals and organizations with a supportive process to solve their particularly challenging dilemmas and difficulties.
COACHING
As an Associate Certified Coach (PCC) accredited by the International Coaching Federation, I help you find your best answers to personal or professional dilemmas and challenges. During the coaching process, we identify the underlying basis of the problem. Next, I assist you to see the issues clearly. And then I support you to tap into your inner wisdom and strength to set up goals and the steps to achieve them.
The coaching framework begins with a creating a confidential, secure, and trusting relationship. Next, setting up a flexible, time-sensitive schedule suiting the needs of the client. Then, of course, working on the identified issues. And in a final meeting, along with a summary, identifying ongoing actions the client can take to maintain accomplishments.
Examples of issues I have coached
- Identifying and overcoming negative, internal blocks that hinder professional or personal goals
- Creating sustainable daily schedules or practices including work, exercise, rest, and of course, fun
- Developing personal motivation to maintain healthy, sustainable habits
- Finding the best answer for finding, taking, or leaving a job
- Managing big life changes, for example, whether to move to another state or country, or preparing for retirement
- Preparing for important interviews
What IS coaching?
First, what it is not
- Not therapy, which takes you back to the past to understand unfinished and painful issues hampering present life
- Not mentoring, when you have a knowledgeable, experienced guide to teach you new skills
Simply put, coaching focuses on the goals and desires of the client, working in the here and now to help you find your answers to improving your life now and going forward.

CONSULTING
As a consultant, I assist teams and organizations to identify obstacles that hinder performance and corrode corporate culture. Depending on the issues, I craft specific exercises and workshops, meet with small groups or teams, or facilitate whole organization retreats or meetings to achieve desired outcomes.
Again, the process begins with creating a trusting, secure set of expectations and boundaries for the work. Next, clarity of the work scope and the means to achieve the goals. Then, implementation of the identified actions. And follow-up to review outcomes and consider possible next steps.
Examples of issues I have consulted
- Improving and achieving team cohesion and work efforts
- Managing workplace stress, difficult conversations, and professional development
- Identifying the challenges of change and how an organization can prepare for and thrive in these times
- Assisting a non-profit board to re-energize and refocus on fulfilling a clearly articulated mission

Coaching and Consulting Client Testimonials
“I just wanted to let everyone know how useful yesterday’s workshop on charting responsibilities was with Alice Kitchel. It really helped define our roles, answer questions and further clarify other questions. All in all, it was extremely fulfilling, we’re grateful for Alice’s patience, and we’re also looking forward to next week’s workshop. A huge thank you to the Board and staff for making this happen!”

“I enlisted Alice’s assistance in a last-minute, cross-country, Zoom Meeting time of need. I was selected as a finalist for a multi-national NGO C-Suite legal and business development position headquartered in Paris and operating out of New York. From the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, Alice allowed me to step into this interview knowing I was qualified, confident, deserving and ready to fulfill this role. Alice’s session uniquely recognized, adapted and embraced my insecurities and strengths. She exercised patience to understand the magnitude of the task before me and, consequently, before her. Alice’s coaching allowed me to be prepared, articulate, confident and charismatic at a crucial crossroads in my professional development. It is her wisdom, organization, patience, experience, adaptability and human understanding which differentiates Alice’s world-class talent apart from other coaches. Alice Kitchel’s coaching is recommended for the preparation of a lifetime.”

“Alice’s coaching was a vital part of building my own business. Though I had a business idea, Alice gave me the confidence and know-how that I needed to turn an idea into more than that. I especially benefited from our one-on-one coaching sessions, which allowed me to look at my skills from a different point of view. My experience with Alice was excellent, and I highly recommend her services!”
Amber Roberts
“Alice helped me–during a time of great upheaval in my life–to draw up a life plan for personal growth. I had a vague sense of the direction, but I needed someone to guide me along my chosen path. Alice was truly there for me as my guide and coach. She stood by me when I got lost and gently pushed me back on the path I had chosen. She had strong boundaries and respected and trusted me and the path I was on. She did not GIVE me a plan, but she was there when I needed help and guidance, trusting that I knew what the next steps needed to be. Thank you, Alice!”

Alice Kitchel facilitated a 3-hour retreat for our board in January with great skill. l. In preparation, she reviewed key documents of the organization and met in person with several board members to discuss the format and content of the retreat. In these planning meetings, she worked closely with us to clarify and prioritize the issues to be addressed and to come up with an agenda and format. Her suggestions were critical to the retreat’s success. Her notes to the Board after the retreat were extensive and reflected our goals and next steps.
Consulting Client
Alice ran the retreat efficiently, allowing time for people to weigh in while keeping us on track. I think everyone was impressed her professionalism and skill and would not hesitate to call on her again.
