About Alice S. Kitchel, PCC, PhD
I care deeply about three areas of my life; of course, family, friends, and community, a joy in assisting others, and a love of the natural world which I celebrate by painting the Vermont landscape.
Along with growing up in rural Vermont, I have lived in Germany, Scotland, and New York City. These experiences have expanded my understanding and appreciation of different cultures and lifestyles.
My professional post-graduate education began with a master’s degree in art therapy from Vermont College of Norwich University. Along with understanding graphic expression, these studies focused on understanding how people develop and learn through the life span, and deficits or difficulties that can impede growth. I then spent 25 years as an art therapist and mental health counselor. Next, I achieved a PhD in human and organization development from Fielding Graduate University. Along with more learning about human development, I learned how organizations perform at their best, issues that impede optimal function, and steps to correct problems.
I am also a graduate of the Vermont Leadership Institute. Recently I achieved certification from iPEC, a coach training program and the designation of PCC from the International Coaching Federation.
Above all, I have learned that I have a passion for assisting individuals and groups to be their best.
